If you’re a fan of the band Rogue Wave check out this great PBS documentary about their drummer Pat Spurgen’s search for a new kidney. It’s a great and thought-provoking doc! http://video.pbs.org/video/1321349622/

This song is the aural equivalent of an all-model slow-motion pillow fight.

I recently got a request to play a new band called Emil and Friends and after listening to their songs I couldn’t resist. Their music sounds current and fresh while maintaining a great retro vibe. Check out their MySpace page www.myspace.com/emilandfriends and read their fun list of influences. I’ll be podcasting their songs over the next week.

Fame kills. Avoid fame and live forever! Some odd tuning and retro organ make this an interesting song. No vocals yet.

Actually this is just the instrumental version of a song that will have vocals, but it doesn’t really matter. No vocals, call it Movie Music!

Last Saturday, when it was storming, the sun came out from the clouds really intensely, and the raindrops looked like a million crystals falling from the sky. I filmed it, of course. I was hoping to film a tornado but the storm wimped out after a promising start.

The first time I died, I went to a secret island. The second time I died, I couldn’t find it at all.

Sometimes you imagine lying on your back in a tall-grass prairie, letting the cold hard rain of a great massive thundercloud pour down upon your body until it’s as if you no longer exist, and you become one with the raindrops and the sky.
Of course you’d never actually do such a stupid thing because you’d die of pneumonia or get struck by lightning for sure, but it’s nice to imagine for a while…on a stormy day in April.
