A Ship to Nowhere

This song reminds me of an early Elton John song except that it has an accordian in it and no singing. I will probably at least try to add a vocal when I get my next album ready.

This song is about passing by a field on a cold full moon night and admiring the beauty of the tall grass and trees, sparkling in the blue-white light.

This is my homage to post-punk synth bands like Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, and Human League. DO NOT DENY MY ICONNESS!

Eve is tempted by Guzdan, a pan-like incarnation of the devil, and then tempts Adam in return in this moody Garden of Eden story which ends with the Church banishing everyone to hell for good measure.

let’s get lost this is all we’ll need
the sun in the sky and the road and you following me
life is too cool on a night like this
I could die with today in my eyes sealed with a kiss

(Revised but probably not final version)
This is a version of a tune I wrote long ago about a traveler who meets a girl and falls in love in Aberdeen.

(revised version) This is the song I was trying to finish last night but certain things were just not gelling so I scrapped it and did the “waitress” thing.
The Esmirelda is a dance invented by a little ghost-girl who lives in my attic. It’s basically The Monster Mash with a few spasmotic head tosses thrown in here and there for emphasis. I’m hoping everyone will do The Esmirelda this Halloween at the Barnabas Collins party.

(revised version) I didn’t start recording until 10pm and I wasn’t happy with the first song once I got it posted so this is attempt number 2.
This song is about a waitress getting ready for her job at 4am. She has an hour commute to work and her boss is a real ass, so this is her “quiet time”.
In this revision I removed the steel drum sound which was muddled at best.

It was in the 70’s today and the kids go back to school tomorrow so I wrote a farewell to Summer. If school is starting up again in your area, try not to run over any children on your way to work in the morning. I know it’s difficult, I know they’re hard to see, but please try.

(another revised version) I want to put vocals and guitar on this one to make it more indie-rock and less senior-prom but haven’t had time yet. Still not satisfied but it’s getting there.
In the latest revision I have sped up the tempo so it isn’t so draggy.

(revised version) It was so hot out today I decided to cool down with a song about the big ice storm we had last November. When the power went out there was nothing much to do but put on your coat and go outside to watch the tree-branches snap one by one.

(Revised and Expanded) Captain Kirk has once again been captured by the evil Khan, and after a long journey to Nubiad he is handed over to the beautiful but deadly Bird Women who fly him to their forest lair. If he can’t keep them all pleasured he’ll surely be eaten alive at sunrise.

I imagined this song “Race Day” was for a movie about a racing horse. This is probably the main theme for the movie or maybe the heartwarming training scene set early in the morning.

This song is about sailing around beautiful red cliffs along the coast of Caños de Meca, in Spain.

I suppose you could call this one “Spaghetti Western Music”, or maybe “Ambient Wild West Funk”.
The Priest in this town is also the Sheriff, Judge, Jury, Hangman and Undertaker. Don’t get on his bad side. He can shoot individual beads off a rosary at 20 paces.
